Checking the coolant level and topping up

Checking the coolant level and topping up
Check the coolant level when the engine is cold, at approx. 20 °C:
1. First relieve the pressure in the reservoir by turning the cap slightly counterclockwise, then open the reservoir.
2. The coolant level is correct if the upper end of the red float is at least level with the upper edge of the filler neck, see
arrow in the illustration. The float may protrude above the edge by no more than 2 cm, up to the second mark; see also the diagram next to the filler neck.
3. If necessary, top up the coolant. Add coolant slowly up to the required level, without overfilling.
When disposing of anti-corrosion agents and antifreeze, observe the environmental protection laws.
