Fill the cooling system only when the engine is cold; otherwise you risk scalding from expelled coolant.

Coolant consists of water and anti-corrosion antifreeze. Not all antifreeze products available on the market are suitable for your BMW.

To find out which antifreeze products are suitable, contact a BMW service center.

To avoid engine damage, use only recommended antifreeze. Antifreeze and anti-corrosion additives are hazardous to health, so observe the instructions on their packaging.
