Seat Belt Care

~1min read

1. Periodically inspect all seat belts and related components. If the seat belts, related components or assemblies are damaged, replace them at an authorized Chevrolet dealer.

2. Replace all seat belts and related components that were stretched or damaged in an accident, even if the stretching or damage is not visible. Stretched belts and damaged components do not provide effective protection. Use new seat belts when replacing them.

3. We recommend replacing the entire seat belt assembly after a vehicle collision. If a qualified technician finds no damage to the seat belts and confirms they are in normal working condition, replacement is not necessary. Contact an authorized Chevrolet dealer.

4. Driving a vehicle with damaged seat belts and related components is dangerous.
