Rear Center Seat Belt (Sedan Only)

The rear center seat belt system consists of an inertia reel seat belt, a buckle with a slot, and a buckle with a red release button. The design of the rear center seat belt buckles prevents incorrect insertion of the belt tongue.
When the rear seatback is in the upright position, latch the belt tongue in the buckle. Remove the belt tongue only before folding the rear seatback down.

Before fastening the rear center belt, insert the belt tongue (1) at the end of the seat belt into the buckle, making sure the belt is not twisted.
To fasten the belt, sit upright against the seatback, pull the belt tongue (A) across your body and insert it into the buckle (B) until it clicks.
To unfasten the belt, press the red button on the buckle (B). The belt will retract automatically.
When folding the rear seat, insert a suitable narrow tool into the slot (1) in the buckle and allow the belt to retract.
After returning the rear seatback to the upright position, insert the belt tongue (1) at the end of the seat belt into the buckle, making sure the belt is not twisted.

To minimize the risk of serious injury or death in a collision, always fasten the seat belt in both buckles.
