Any adjustment must only be carried out with the vehicle stationary.
The fabric trim of your vehicle is designed to withstand normal wear for a long time. However, prolonged and/or forceful friction from clothing accessories such as metal zips, buckles, hook-and-loop fasteners, etc. must be avoided. Because these act locally and with high pressure on the yarns, they can cause the threads to tear and thereby damage the upholstery.
When releasing the adjustment lever, always make sure the seat is locked by trying to move it forwards or backwards.
A seat that is not locked may move unexpectedly, and you could lose control of the vehicle.
