Ford Escape. Setting the Charging Schedule and Preferences

Charging may not start after connecting if you have set a preferred charging time for the vehicle's location. Your vehicle may delay charging to take advantage of off-peak electricity rates. Your vehicle optimizes the charging schedule to finish by the next departure time.

While waiting to charge, connected and not currently charging, the charging status indicator shows the current charge level of the high-voltage battery by lighting all completed segments for 30 seconds before turning off. For example, if the battery is at 70 percent charge, the bottom three segments remain solid to indicate that the battery charge level is at least 60 percent but less than 80 percent. When the current charge level is less than 20 percent, no segments light.

Charge Time Button

Use the charge time button to turn on or off the charge time settings for this location. Select the charging settings from the home screen on the touchscreen or from the vehicle settings menu to access charging preferences.
