Removal

  1. Remove the clutch disc and pressure plate.
    Refer to: Clutch Disc and Pressure Plate (308-01B Clutch - 6-Speed Manual Transmission - B6, Removal and Installation).
  2. Inspect the flywheel.
    Refer to: Flywheel Inspection - 1.6 L EcoBoost (132 kW/180 L PS) - Sigma (303-00 Engine System - General Information, General Procedures).
    • Remove the bolts and flywheel.
    • Discard the bolts.

Installation

  1. Install the flywheel and bolts, hand-tightening them.
  2. Install the special service tool: 303-103 (T74P-6375-A) Flywheel Holding Tool.
  3. Tighten the flywheel bolts in the specified sequence.
    Torque:
    Stage 1: 133 lb-in (15 N·m)
    Stage 2: 18 lb-ft (25 N·m)
    Stage 3: 22 lb-ft (30 N·m)
    Stage 4: 90°
  4. Remove the special service tool: 303-103 (T74P-6375-A) Flywheel Holding Tool.
  5. Install the clutch disc and pressure plate.
    Refer to: Clutch Disc and Pressure Plate (308-01B Clutch - 6-Speed Manual Transmission - B6, Removal and Installation).
  6. After completing the repair, perform the Misfire Monitor Neutral Profile Relearn procedure.
