Removal

  1. Remove the timing belt.
    Refer to Timing Belt (Engine 303-01B — 1.6 L EcoBoost (132 kW/180 L PS) — Sigma, Removal and Installation).
  2. Using the special tools, remove and discard the front crankshaft seal.
    Install special service tools: 100-001 (T50T-100-A) Slide Hammer. , 308-375 Remover, Input Shaft Seal.

Installation

  1. Using the special tool, lubricate and install a new front crankshaft seal.
    Use special service tools: 303-175 (T82L-6316-A) Installer, Crankshaft Damper. , 303-335 (T88T-6701-A) Installer, Front Cover Seal. , 303-420 (T92P-6701-BH) Installer, Front Crankshaft Seal.
    Material: Engine Oil — SAE 5W-20 — synthetic engine oil / XO-5W20-Q1SP (WSS-M2C945-B1)
  2. Install the timing belt.
    Refer to Timing Belt (Engine 303-01B — 1.6 L EcoBoost (132 kW/180 L PS) — Sigma, Removal and Installation).
