PROCEDURE

1. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.

If the installed audio system is equipped with an anti-theft code, make sure you have the correct code to activate the audio system before disconnecting the battery!
2. Remove the battery and its tray from the engine compartment (refer to Battery Inspection and Replacement).
3. Disconnect the lower radiator hose and wiring harness from the starter motor mounting bracket. On V6 engines, ATF cooling lines run near the starter motor mounting point; make sure they are moved aside.

4. Carefully mark and disconnect the wiring from the starter solenoid terminals. Release the intermediate wiring harness retainers.

5. Отдайте крепежные болты и снимите стартер.

5. Remove the mounting bolts and remove the starter motor.

6. Installation is performed in the reverse order.
