Vehicle Maintenance Schedule

The periodic maintenance schedule includes the complete list of work required to keep the vehicle in proper mechanical condition.

All maintenance operations must be performed only by qualified personnel using the specified procedures, appropriate equipment, and standards accepted in the Honda service network. The facilities and personnel of an authorized Honda dealer service center fully meet all requirements.

The maintenance schedule given in the Owner's Manual on pages 357 to 359 applies to all vehicles except those supplied to European countries, Australia and New Zealand.

This manual contains two maintenance schedules. One is for vehicles with gasoline engines (see pages 357 to 359), and the other is for vehicles with diesel engines (see pages 360 to 362).

The maintenance schedule for vehicles intended for European countries is given in the separate Service Booklet, which is part of the documentation supplied with the vehicle in these countries.

The maintenance schedule for vehicles intended for Australia and New Zealand is given in the separate Service and Warranty Booklet supplied with the vehicle.

The list of maintenance operations and their intervals are based on the assumption that the vehicle is used as a personal vehicle for carrying passengers and luggage.

During vehicle operation, observe the following rules:

Do not exceed the maximum permissible vehicle weight. Overloading the vehicle places additional stress on the engine, brakes and other components and parts.

Drive the vehicle on paved roads and observe speed limits.

Use the vehicle regularly, avoiding frequent short trips (a few kilometers).

For gasoline engine versions: Use only gasoline of the recommended type and grade (see page 298).

For diesel engine versions

Use only diesel fuel of the recommended type and grade (see page 299).

When performing vehicle maintenance, it is recommended to use only genuine Honda parts and Honda-recommended operating fluids or their equivalent substitutes. Parts and operating materials supplied to the Honda service network are not different in quality from those used at the assembly plants, so you can be sure that they fully suit this vehicle and will perform flawlessly.

This may damage the cover and other components.
