For vehicles with manual transmission

Drain and replace the transmission fluid at the intervals specified in the vehicle maintenance schedule.

Use only Honda Manual Transmission Fluid (MTF). If Honda MTF is not available, API service SJ fluid (or higher quality fluid) may be used temporarily, as well as engine oil with SAE 10W-30 or 10W-40 viscosity grade.

Note that engine oil does not contain the necessary additives, and gear shifting will be harder when engine oil is used. Therefore, replace the oil with the specified transmission fluid as soon as possible.

Vehicles with i-SHIFT transmission

Drain and replace the transmission fluid at the intervals specified in the vehicle maintenance schedule.

Use only Honda Manual Transmission Fluid (HONDA MTF 3). If this fluid is not available, API service SJ fluid (or higher quality fluid) may be used temporarily, as well as engine oil with SAE 10W-30 or 10W-40 viscosity grade. Note that engine oil does not contain the necessary additives, and gear shifting will be harder when engine oil is used. Therefore, replace the oil with the specified transmission fluid as soon as possible.
