The switch is located below the power mirror adjustment switches. Press it to turn the AFS system on or off. If the AFS system is turned off, the malfunction indicator will illuminate when the headlights are turned on as a reminder to the driver.

Some operating characteristics of the Adaptive Front-lighting System (AFS) are described below:

• The system requires some time to initialize. The system will only start functioning after the vehicle has traveled a short distance.

• The AFS system is not active when the vehicle is not moving.

• The AFS system turns off when reverse gear is engaged.
