Inspection
Timing Belt Pulleys and Tensioner Pulley
PROCEDURE
1. Inspect the camshaft and crankshaft pulleys, tensioner pulley and idler pulley for uneven wear, cracks and damage.

2. Check that the tensioner pulley and idler pulley rotate smoothly and freely, and that there is no abnormal noise during rotation.
Timing belt
Do not bend the timing belt sharply or change its direction of rotation. Do not allow oil or grease to contact the timing belt, as this will cause it to deteriorate.
PROCEDURE
1. Inspect the timing belt for damage, wear, delamination, and cracks on the teeth and tooth base, as well as defects on the edges and back side of the belt.

2. If any of the following defects are found, replace the timing belt.
