PROCEDURE

1. Check the camshaft for uneven wear, cracks or damage.
2. Measure the cam height of each camshaft lobe at two points.
Standard cam height of intake camshaft: 43.4483 mm

Standard cam height of exhaust camshaft: 43.8489 mm
Minimum cam height of intake camshaft: 42.9484 mm
Minimum cam height of exhaust camshaft: 43.3489 mm
3. Check the cam lobe surfaces for uneven wear or damage.
4. Check each journal for damage. If the journal surface is excessively damaged, replace the cylinder head or the camshaft bearing cap.

Camshaft thrust clearance: 0.1–0.2 mm
