PROCEDURE

1. Check the lip of the oil seal for wear. If the lip is worn or damaged, replace the oil seal.
2. Check the camshaft surface contacting the oil seal. If this surface is evenly worn, replace the camshaft.

Fill the hydraulic valve lash adjuster with engine oil, hold it upright and compress it from both sides with your fingers.
