Using ESC OFF
In this manual: Driving Your Vehicle

While driving
The ESC OFF mode should be used only briefly, to make it easier to free the vehicle when it is stuck in snow or mud. When stopped, the ESC temporarily operates to maintain wheel torque.
To turn off the ESC system while driving, press the ESC OFF button when driving on a flat surface.
NOTICE
To prevent damage to the transmission:
- Prevent the drive wheels from spinning excessively when the ESC, ABS, or brake warning lights are illuminated. Repairs may not be covered by the vehicle warranty. Reduce engine power and do not spin the wheels excessively while these indicators are illuminated.
- When operating the vehicle on a chassis dynamometer, make sure the ESC system is deactivated (ESC OFF indicator illuminated).
Intelligent
Turning off the ESC system does not affect ABS or the standard brake system operation.
