When the ignition switch is in the ON position, the ESC OFF indicator illuminates, then goes off if the ESC system is operating normally.

When the ESC system is operating, the ESC indicator flashes.

If the ESC indicator remains illuminated, there may be a malfunction in the ESC system. If this warning light illuminates, we recommend having the vehicle inspected by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer as soon as possible.

The ESC OFF indicator illuminates when the ESC system is deactivated using the button.

WARNING

When the ESC indicator flashes, it means ESC is active:

Drive slowly and do not attempt to accelerate. NEVER press the ESC OFF button while the ESC indicator is flashing, otherwise you may lose control of the vehicle and cause an accident.

NOTICE

Driving with tires or wheels of different sizes may cause the ESC system to malfunction. Be sure to replace tires only with tires of the same size as the original tires for this vehicle.
