Operation of the Electronic Stability Program (ESP)
ESP Activation Conditions

• After turning the ignition switch to the ON position, the ESP and ESP OFF indicator lamps will illuminate for approximately 3 seconds, after which the ESP system will activate.
• To deactivate the ESP system, turn the ignition on and press the "ESP OFF" button (the "ESP OFF" indicator will illuminate). To reactivate the ESP system, press the "ESP OFF" button (the "ESP OFF" indicator will go out).
• After the engine is started, a slight clicking sound may be heard. This indicates that the ESP self-diagnostic function is operating and is not a sign of a malfunction.
During Operation

When the ESP system is operating, the ESP indicator lamp flashes.
• If the Electronic Stability Program is operating correctly, a slight pulsation of the vehicle may be felt. This is the result of brake control. This is normal.
• When leaving a muddy or slippery road surface, engine speed does not increase even when the accelerator pedal is pressed firmly. This is done to ensure the necessary stability and road grip of the vehicle and is not a sign of a malfunction.
Deactivating ESP — ESP OFF Status

• To deactivate the ESP system, press the ESP OFF button (the ESP OFF indicator lamp will illuminate).
• If the ignition key is set to the LOCK position while ESP is deactivated, the ESP system will remain off. After the engine is started, the ESP system will automatically reactivate.

Warning Lamp
During normal ESP operation, the indicator lamp illuminates and goes out after the ignition switch is turned to the ON position.
The ESP indicator lamp flashes when the system is activated, or illuminates in the event of a system malfunction.
The ESP OFF indicator lamp illuminates when the system is turned off using the button.
When replacing tires, make sure the new tires are the same size as the original tires.
WARNING
The Electronic Stability Program (ESP) should be used only as an aid. Drive carefully and reduce speed when cornering, as well as on snowy or icy roads.
Drive at low speed, do not increase speed while the ESP indicator lamp is flashing, and also on slippery roads.
