Smart Key Precautions. Battery Replacement
Smart Key Precautions
The Smart Key may not work if any of the following occurs:
- The Smart Key may be affected by radio transmitters, such as radio stations or airports, which may interfere with the normal operation of the transmitter.
- The smart key may be affected by two-way radio systems or mobile phones nearby.
- A Smart Key of another vehicle is operating near your vehicle.
- The vehicle battery is discharged.
- Connecting an external device to the power outlet and placing the smart key near the external device.
If the Smart Key does not operate properly, lock and unlock the door with the mechanical key. To start the engine, press the START/STOP button on the ignition switch while holding the Smart Key directly against it. If you have a problem with the Smart Key, contact an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.
If the Smart Key is in close proximity to your mobile phone, the signal may be blocked by the radio signals of your mobile phone. This is especially relevant when the phone is in use, such as making and receiving calls, text messaging and/or sending/receiving e-mails. If possible, avoid keeping the Smart Key and your mobile phone in the same place, such as a trouser or jacket pocket, to avoid interference between the two devices.
NOTICE
- Keep the Smart Key away from electromagnetic materials that may block electromagnetic waves on the key surface.
- Always keep the Smart Key with you when leaving the vehicle. If the Smart Key is left near the vehicle, the vehicle battery may discharge.
