Repair Procedures

Replacement

  1. Discharge the refrigerant from the cooling system.

  2. Replace the faulty pipe or hose.

  3. Tighten the bolt or nut to the specified torque.

  4. Evacuate the air conditioning system and charge it with refrigerant.

    Specified amount

    R-134a: 600 ± 25 g (20.0 ± 0.88 oz)

    R-1234yf: 570 ± 25 g (22.9 ± 0.88 oz)

  5. Check for refrigerant leaks.

    Check for refrigerant leaks using a gas leak detector.

  6. Check the air conditioner operation.
