Evaporator Temperature Sensor
Description and Operation
Description
The evaporator temperature sensor detects the evaporator core temperature and interrupts power to the compressor relay to prevent the evaporator from freezing due to excessive cooling.

Repair Procedures
Inspection
Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the evaporator temperature sensor connector.
Measure the resistance between the "+" and "-" terminals of the evaporator temperature sensor.
