repair procedures

expansion

  1. Remove the wheel nuts, front wheel and tire from the front wheel hub.

    Tightening torque: 107.9 ~ 128 N·m

  2. Stake the drive shaft lock nut with a chisel and hammer.

  3. Loosen the staked lock nut (A) on the front axle.

    Tightening torque: 274.6 ~ 294 N·m

  4. Remove the caliper mounting bolts, then suspend the caliper (A) with wire.

    Tightening torque: 78.4 ~ 98 N·m

  5. Remove the caliper hose bracket bolt (A) and the wheel speed sensor bracket bolt (B).

    Tightening torque: A: 8.8 - 13.7 N·m B: 7.8 ~ 11.8 N·m

  6. Disconnect the tie rod end ball joint from the steering knuckle using the special service tool (09568-34000).

    1. Remove the cotter pin (A).

    2. Remove the castellated nut (B).

    3. Use the special service tool (09568-34000).

      Tightening torque: 15.7 - 33 N·m

  7. Remove the bolt and nut from the lower control arm (A).

    Tightening torque: 58.8 ~ 71 N·m

8th.

Separate the front lower control arm from the steering knuckle using the special service tool (0K545-A9100).

  1. After removing the bolts from the front steering knuckle, install and tighten the additional body bolt (A).

  2. Attach the body bolt (A) between the front steering knuckle and the lower body bolt.
