  • If the FCA does not operate properly, the FCA warning light () illuminates for several seconds and a corresponding warning message appears. After the warning message is no longer displayed, the main warning light () illuminates. Have the vehicle checked by a qualified workshop in this case. • The FCA warning message may also be displayed together with the ESC warning light.

WARNING

  • FCA is only an additional system for enhanced convenience. The driver remains responsible for driving the vehicle. Do not rely solely on the FCA system. Always keep a sufficient safe distance and press the brake pedal when reducing speed is required.
  • The FCA may generate warning messages and warning sounds without cause. Due to the limitations of the detection system, the FCA may also not issue any warnings or warning sounds at all.
  • In case of an FCA malfunction, braking will not occur when a collision risk is detected, even if the other braking systems function normally.
  • FCA only operates when driving forward and only for pedestrians and vehicles ahead of the vehicle. It does not apply to animals or oncoming vehicles.
  • FCA does not recognize any cross traffic and does not detect parked vehicles across the road.
