Normal Maintenance Schedule - For Gasoline Engines [for Europe (except Russia)]

The following maintenance operations must be performed to ensure good exhaust emission control and performance. Records of all emission control maintenance must be kept to support warranty claims. If both mileage and a time period are specified, the maintenance interval is determined by whichever occurs first.

±2 Coolant (engine) Beim Einfüllen von Kühlmittel immer darauf achten, dass nur entionisiertes oder weiches Wasser verwendet wird; niemals hartes leitungswasser mit dem im Werk eingefüllten Kühlmittel mischen. Eine falsche Kühlmittelmischung kann zu einem schweren Defekt oder einem Motorschaden führen.
±3 Drive belt (engine)

  • Adjust the drive belts of the generator, coolant pump and air conditioning compressor (if equipped). Inspect and repair or replace as necessary.

  • Antriebsriemenspannung, Zwischenrad und Generatorriemenscheibe überprüfen und bei Bedarf reparieren oder ersetzen.
+4 Ventilspiel nicht ordnungsgemäß Check for excessive valve noise and/or engine vibration and adjust as necessary. In this case, have the system checked by a qualified workshop. Kia recommends visiting a Kia authorized dealer.
±5 Spark Plug Es kann auch vor Erreichen des Wechselintervalls ersetzt werden, wenn andere Teile gewartet werden.
+6 Manual Transaxle Gear Oil Schaltgetriebeöl muss immer gewechselt werden, wenn es unter Wasser war.
+7 Doppelkupplungsgetriebe (DCT)-Öl Double clutch transmission (DCT) fluid should always be replaced after immersion in water.
+8 Fuel additive (gasoline) Kia recommends the use of unleaded gasoline with a RON (Research Octane Number) of 95 / AKI (Anti-Knock Index) of at least 91 (for Europe) or a RON of 91 / AKI of at least 87 (for Young Europe).
For customers who regularly use poor-quality gasoline and experience starting problems or rough engine running, add one bottle of additive to the fuel tank every 15,000 km (for Europe, Australia and New Zealand) / 10,000 km (for Europe, Australia, New Zealand and China) / 5,000 km (for China). Additives and information are available at authorized workshops. Kia recommends visiting a Kia authorized dealer. Do not mix in any other additives.

The following maintenance operations must be performed to ensure good exhaust emission control and performance. Records of all emission control maintenance must be kept to support warranty claims. If both mileage and a time period are specified, the maintenance interval is determined by whichever occurs first.

  • If the recommended engine oil is not available, replace the engine oil and engine oil filter every 20,000 km or every 12 months.

  • The engine oil level must be checked regularly and maintained at the correct level. Operating with low oil level may damage the engine; such damage is not covered by the warranty.

  • This maintenance schedule depends on fuel quality. It is only applicable when approved fuel <"EN590 or equivalent product"> is used. If the diesel fuel specification does not meet the European standard EN590, the maintenance must be performed according to the severe conditions schedule.

If the diesel fuel specification does not meet the European standard EN590, the fuel filter must be replaced more frequently. If important safety-related problems occur, such as restricted fuel flow, suction mode, loss of power, starting difficulties, etc., replace the fuel filter immediately, regardless of the maintenance schedule, and consult an authorized workshop for further details. Kia recommends contacting a Kia authorized dealer.
