Gas filler adapter

Since filler nozzles are not all the same, adapters are required for LPG refueling.
Gas filler adapter Gas filler adapters
- ACME adapter
- Dish Coupling adapter
- Bayonet adapter
The vehicle is fitted with a standard adapter: either ACME (1), Dish Coupling (2) or bayonet (3).
Refueling systems and the corresponding adapters vary from country to country. Since filling stations abroad do not always have the adapters needed for the LPG system, we recommend obtaining a suitable adapter before traveling abroad.
Check whether the adapters fit your LPG system.
NOTE In Europe, the most common adapter types are ACME (1), Dish Coupling (2) and bayonet (3).
In general, since refueling systems vary from country to country, it is advisable to always carry all three adapters when traveling abroad.
WARNING When using an adapter, be aware of the following:
- Do not use worn adapters.
- When using adapters, the volume of gas released is greater than when refueling directly.
- Disconnect the nozzle from the vehicle before removing the adapter.
- Some vehicles have threads with too small a diameter to secure the adapter.
In these cases, extreme care is required.
The added length of the adapter allows for greater bending.
Incorrect installation of the filler connector may distort the body panel or even strip the connector thread.
If the vehicle moves while still connected, the adapter may unexpectedly break before the connector is disconnected.
