Filter inspection The air conditioning air filter must be replaced as indicated in the Scheduled Maintenance. If the vehicle is often used in heavily polluted urban areas or on dusty unpaved roads, the filter must be inspected and cleaned more frequently. To replace the air conditioning air filter, follow the procedure below and take care not to damage other components.

Replace the filter as specified in the Scheduled Maintenance.

Filter replacement

1. With the glove box open, remove the stoppers on both sides.

2. Detach the air conditioning filter cover by pressing the locking device on both sides of the cover.

3. Replace the air conditioning air filter.
4. Reinstall in the reverse order of removal.

NOTE When replacing the air conditioning air filter, make sure it is installed correctly. Otherwise the system may become noisy and the filter's efficiency may be reduced.
