Parking Brake Check Check the parking brake travel by pulling the lever fully from the rest position and counting the number of ratchet clicks. Also, only the parking brake can reliably hold the vehicle on even a slight slope. If the travel is more or less than specified, have the parking brake adjusted by an authorized Kia dealer.

Travel: 6~8 clicks with a force of 20 kg (196 N).
