CAUTION - Working on lights Before working on the lights, firmly apply the parking brake, make sure the ignition switch is in the LOCK position, and turn off the lights to prevent sudden vehicle movement, which may cause burns to your fingers or electric shock. Do not install additional bulbs or LEDs. Doing so may prevent the light from operating properly and may cause problems with the fuse box or the system's electrical wiring.
Use only bulbs of the specified wattage.
WARNING Be sure to replace a burnt-out bulb with one of the same rating. Otherwise, you may blow the fuse or damage the electrical system.WARNING
- If you do not have the correct tools, the right bulbs, and are not experienced, consult an authorized Kia dealer.
NOTE After driving in heavy rain or after washing the vehicle, the lenses of the front and rear light assemblies may appear fogged.
This condition is caused by the temperature difference between the air inside the lamp and the outside air. It is a phenomenon similar to the condensation that forms on the inside of windows in the rain and does not indicate a vehicle problem.
If water leaks into the headlight assembly, have the vehicle checked by an authorized Kia dealer.
