  • Hold a CD by its edges. Do not bend the disc. Never touch the surface of the disc.
  • When not in use, always keep CDs in their storage case.
  • To clean a CD, wipe its surface with a clean, soft cloth, moving from the center toward the outer edge of the disc.
Do not wipe the CD in a circular motion.
  • Do not use conventional disc cleaners or industrial-grade alcohol.
  • A new CD may have uneven inner and outer edges. Smooth out these irregularities by running the edge of a pen or pencil along the inner and outer edges of the CD, as shown.
