Replacement

EXTERNALLY MOUNTED ELECTRONIC IGNITION MODULE

PROCEDURE
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Disconnect the connector from the electronic ignition module.

3. Remove the bracket mounting bolts (indicated by arrows), and remove the electronic ignition module together with the bracket from the engine compartment.
4. Installation is the reverse of removal.

ELECTRONIC IGNITION MODULE BUILT INTO THE DISTRIBUTOR

PROCEDURE
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Remove the ignition coil (refer to subsection 3.3.5).
3. Disconnect the connector from the electronic ignition module.
