PROCEDURE

Removal of the driven gear of the final drive and disassembly of the differential housing are difficult and require special fastener kits. For these operations, it is recommended to contact a service station. For replacement of the differential tapered roller bearings, refer to subsection 5.2.2.4. Differential adjustment PROCEDURE 1. Adjust the differential in the same way as the differential of the type 084 gearbox (refer to subsection 5.2.2.4), with the following exceptions. 2. Install a 1 mm thick shim to the clutch housing and press the outer bearing race in accordingly. After measuring and selecting, install the adjusting shim of the required thickness into the gearbox housing. 3. Calculate the thickness of the adjusting shim using the formula: S2 = Sn + 0.4 mm, where S2 – calculated thickness of the required adjusting shim, Sn – measured axial clearance.
