PROCEDURE

Output Shaft 1 – adjusting washer; 2 – outer race of tapered roller bearing; 3 – tapered roller bearing; 4 – output shaft; 5 – tapered roller bearing; 6 – plate; 7 – bolt; 8 – bearing; 9 – bolt; 10 – snap ring; 11 – 4th gear wheel; 12 – snap ring; 13 – 3rd gear wheel; 14 – 2nd gear wheel; 15 – needle bearing; 16 – inner race of needle bearing; 17 – blocking ring; 18 – synchronizer; 19 – blocking ring; 20 – 1st gear wheel; 21 – needle bearing; 22 – washer; 23 – spring; 24 – key; 25 – synchronizer hub; 26 – synchronizer sliding sleeve

Output Shaft Axial Play Adjustment 1 – adjusting washer; 2, 3 – tapered roller bearing; 4 – plate; 5 – output shaft; 6 – special plate; 7 – dial gauge plunger; 8 – dial gauge; 9 – rod; 10 – support; 11 – bolt

Adjustment PROCEDURE 1. Install adjusting washer 1 (see illustration Output Shaft Axial Play Adjustment) 0.65 mm thick. 2. Press the outer race of tapered roller bearing 2 in. 3. Install output shaft 5. 4. Install plate 4 and tighten bolts 11 to torque 40 N·m. 5. Install support 10 with rod 9 and dial gauge 8. 6. Place ground plate 6 under dial gauge plunger 7. 7. Move the output shaft up and down to the stop and read the dial gauge to determine the axial play. Do not turn the output shaft during measurement. 8. Calculate the required adjusting washer thickness using the formula: S0 = 0.65 + Sn + 0.20, where S0 – required adjusting washer thickness, Sn – measured axial play. 9. Select an adjusting washer of the required thickness from the kits supplied as spare parts. Available sizes: from 0.65 mm to 1.4 mm in 0.05 mm increments.
