Fuel Filter Replacement

~1min read

PROCEDURE

The fuel filter is installed on the fuel line from the fuel tank, upstream of the fuel pump. The filter must be replaced every 30,000 km. PROCEDURE 1. Disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of the battery. 2. Using side cutters, cut and remove the crimp clamps 5 (see fig. Fuel System Components) on hoses 6 and 8. 3. Remove filter 7 by disconnecting hoses 6 and 8. 4. Fit new screw clamps onto the hoses. 5. Connect hoses 6 and 8 to the new filter so that the arrow on the filter housing points in the direction of fuel flow (toward the fuel pump). Tighten clamps 5. 6. Connect the cable to the negative terminal of the battery.
