Элементы системы

Fuel System Components 1 – fuel pump spacer gasket; 2 – O-ring; 3 – fuel pump mounting bolt; 4 – fuel pump; 5 – clamp; 6 – hose from filter to pump; 7 – fuel filter; 8 – hose from fuel line to filter; 9 – fuel line; 10 – fuel return pipe; 11 – hose from tank to return pipe; 12 – fuel tank; 13 – hose from tank to carburetor; 14 – carburetor; 15 – fuel tank bracket; 16 – hose from pump to tank

On engines with 1.1 and 1.3 L displacement, the fuel pump is installed on the right side of the cylinder head and is driven by a cam on the camshaft. On engines with 1.6 and 1.8 L displacement, the fuel pump is installed on the left side of the cylinder block, next to the oil filter bracket, and is driven by the intermediate shaft. PROCEDURE 1. Disconnect hoses 6 and 16 from fuel pump 4. 2. Remove the two pump mounting bolts 3 and remove pump 4. 3. To check whether the pump is serviceable, connect a fuel supply hose from the tank to it, then press the pump lever several times. If fuel sprays from the pump when the lever is pressed, the pump is serviceable.

4. Install the pump in reverse order. The pump cannot be disassembled or repaired; if the pump is faulty, it must be replaced.
