PROCEDURE

Fuel pressure at the fuel pump outlet is not adjustable. If pressure drops below specification, the pump must be replaced.

PROCEDURE 1. Disconnect hose 16 from pump 4 (see figure Fuel System Components). 2. Connect a hose from the test pressure gauge to pump 4. Connect hose 16 to the outlet of the gauge. 3. Start the engine and check the pressure on the test gauge. At 4000 min⁻¹, it must be 0.35–0.4 kgf/cm² for engines with 1.1 and 1.3 L displacement, and 0.2–0.25 kgf/cm² for engines with 1.6 and 1.8 L displacement.
