Ventilation function. Locking/unlocking - glove box

The ventilation function of the Volvo S80 (2nd generation, 2013–2016) allows all side windows to be opened or closed at the same time. This section describes how to operate the function and gives tips on using it to quickly cool down the interior. It also explains how to lock the glove box, which is only possible with the detachable key blade. Notes on the security lock provide additional protection for the vehicle interior.

Ventilation function

The ventilation function opens or closes all side windows at the same time and can be used, for example, to quickly ventilate the vehicle when outside temperatures are warm.

Central locking button

To open all side windows at the same time, press and hold the- symbol on the central locking button. To close all side windows at the same time, press and hold the- symbol.

Locking/unlocking - glove box

The glove box can only be locked/unlocked with the detachable key blade of the transponder key.

To lock the glove box:

Insert the key blade into the glove box lock cylinder as shown above.

Turn the key blade 90 degrees clockwise.

Pull out the key blade.

• Unlocking is carried out in the reverse order.
