The range of a transponder key with PCC (Personal Car Communicator) for locking and unlocking the doors and trunk lid is approx. 20 meters from the vehicle. For the other functions, up to approx. 100 meters.
If the vehicle does not confirm a button press, move closer to the vehicle and try again.
CAUTIONThe function of the information button can be disrupted by radio waves, buildings, topography, etc.
Transponder key out of range
If the transponder key is too far from the vehicle to read the information, the last status the vehicle was in is displayed, without the indicator lamps of the transponder key lighting up one after another.
If several transponder keys are used for the vehicle, only the one last used for locking/unlocking shows the correct status.
CAUTIONIf no indicator lamp lights up when using the information button within range, the last communication between the transponder key and the vehicle may have been disrupted by radio waves, buildings, topography, etc.
