Frenado automático con asistente al conductor

The driver support functions Adaptive Cruise Control* and Pilot Assist* have a special brake function in slow traffic and while stationary. In certain situations, the parking brake will be applied to keep the vehicle at a standstill.

Función de frenado en tráfico lento y en parada

En tráfico lento y con paradas y arranques, o cuando se detenga en un semáforo, la conducción se reanudará automáticamente si el vehículo está detenido durante menos de aprox. 3 segundos. Si el vehículo precedente tarda más de 3 segundos en volver a moverse, la función de asistente al conductor pasará al modo de espera y se activará la función de retención automática de frenos.

• The function can be reactivated by:
  • Pressing the button on the steering wheel keypad.
  • Pressing the accelerator pedal.
    • La función volverá a seguir al vehículo precedente si empieza a moverse dentro de aprox. 6 segundos.

Desactivación de la función de retención automática de frenos

In certain situations, auto-hold will be deactivated when the vehicle is at a standstill and the function will go into standby mode. This means that the brakes will be released and the vehicle could begin to roll. The driver must actively apply the brakes to keep the vehicle stationary.

Esto puede ocurrir si:

• El conductor pisa el pedal del freno.
• El freno de estacionamiento está aplicado.
• The gear selector is moved to the P, N or R position.
• El conductor pone el control de crucero adaptativo o el asistente de piloto en modo de espera.

Activación automática del freno de estacionamiento

The parking brake will be applied if the function is keeping the vehicle stationary using the brakes and:

• El conductor abre la puerta o desabrocha su cinturón de seguridad.
• La función ha mantenido el vehículo detenido durante más de aprox. 5 minutos.
• Los frenos se están sobrecalentando.
• El conductor apaga el motor.
