GENERAL INFORMATION.

When servicing the receiver-drier, only the two O-rings of the inlet and outlet fittings are replaced. The desiccant cartridge is not

serviced; it is an integral part of the non-disassemblable receiver-drier. When removing

the receiver-drier, add the required amount of oil to the system. The receiver-drier must be replaced in the following cases:

1) Presence of through holes or cracks causing refrigerant leaks.

2) The screen of the restriction tube is constantly clogging.

3) Failure of the evaporator heat exchanger due to internal corrosion of the

surface.

The receiver-drier should not be replaced in the following cases:

1) Only dents on the receiver-drier body.

2) After a vehicle accident, the receiver-drier has no through damage to the body.

The open end of the A/C line must be closed with a protective cap

or tightly sealed in a plastic bag.
