Arming the alarm system
With the doors and hood closed and the ignition key turned to STOP or removed, point the key with the remote control at the vehicle and press the button
, then release it.
Except in some markets, the system emits an audible tone ("beep") and locks the doors.
Arming the alarm system is preceded by a self-diagnosis phase: if a fault is detected, the system emits an additional audible tone and a message appears on the display (see section "Warning lights and indicators").
In this case, the alarm system must be disarmed by pressing the button
and the doors, hood and tailgate must be checked to ensure they are
properly closed. The system can then be armed again by pressing the button
.

Otherwise, the door or hood that is not properly closed is excluded from the monitoring function.
If, however, the alarm system emits an audible tone even though the doors, hood and tailgate are properly closed, this indicates a system fault. Please contact the Fiat service network.
Note: if the central locking is operated with the metal insert A-fig. 14 of the key, the alarm system will not be armed.
Note: the alarm system is adjusted at the factory to comply with the regulations of the various countries.
