Lower the tailgate until it clicks audibly into the lock.

Fitting
objects (speakers, spoilers, etc.) to the parcel shelf or the tailgate may, unless specified by the manufacturer, impair the correct operation of the tailgate's side gas struts.Note

When using the luggage compartment, never exceed the maximum permitted loads (see chapter "Technical data"). Also make sure that luggage in the boot is securely stowed so that it cannot be thrown forward during hard braking and injure the occupants.

Note

Do not place objects on the parcel shelf while driving: in an accident or during hard braking they could injure the occupants.
