Front Parking Aid
(if equipped)
What is Front Parking Aid
The front parking aid sensors detect objects in front of your vehicle.
Front Parking Aid Limitations
The front parking aid sensors are active when your vehicle is in any position other than park (P) and vehicle speed is less than 8 km/h.
The sensor detection range is up to 28 in. (70 cm) from the bumper.
If your vehicle is in reverse (R), the front parking aid detects objects when your vehicle is moving at low speed or an object is moving toward your vehicle, and emits an audible warning, for example another vehicle at low speed. Once your vehicle comes to a stop, the audible warning stops after a few seconds. The visual indication is always active in reverse (R).
If your vehicle is in any forward gear, the front parking aid emits audible warnings and a visual indication when your vehicle is moving at 5 mph (8 km/h) or less and the system detects an object in the detection zone. Once your vehicle comes to a stop, the visual indication and audible warning stop after a few seconds.
If your vehicle is in neutral (N), the front and rear sensors provide a visual indication only when your vehicle is moving below 8 km/h speed and obstacles are detected within the detection zones. Once your vehicle stops, the visual indication and audible warning stop after a few seconds.
Front Parking Aid Sensor Location

The front parking aid sensors are located in the front bumper.
Front Parking Aid Audible Warnings
A warning tone sounds when an object is within 28 in. (70 cm) of the front bumper. As your vehicle gets closer to the object, the tone frequency increases.
The warning tone sounds continuously when an object is 12 in. (30 cm) or less from the front bumper.
