Central Door Locking System

To lock all doors, including the liftgate, press the upper part of the central locking switch on the driver's door, pull the driver's door lock button rearward, or lock the driver's door from the outside with the key.

Except vehicles sold in South Africa

Pressing the lower part of the central locking switch or moving the driver's door lock button forward will unlock all doors, including the liftgate.

For vehicles supplied to South Africa

Pressing the rear part of any central locking switch will unlock all doors, including the liftgate. Moving the driver's door lock button forward unlocks only the driver's door.

Each door has a lock button located above the inside door handle. Moving the lock button on any passenger door forward or rearward unlocks or locks only that door.

If a door is unlocked, a red indicator is visible on the lock button located above the inside door handle.

Except vehicles sold in South Africa

To lock any passenger door when leaving the vehicle, move the lock button rearward, then close the door. To lock the driver's door, remove the key from the ignition switch, pull the outside door handle, and, while holding it, move the lock button rearward or press the central locking switch, then close the door.

For vehicles supplied to South Africa

To lock any passenger door when leaving the vehicle, move the lock button rearward, then close the door. To lock the driver's door, remove the key from the ignition switch, move the lock button rearward or press the central locking switch, then close the door.

Except vehicles sold in South Africa

When the driver's door is locked or unlocked from the outside with the key, the locks of all vehicle doors are locked or unlocked.

For vehicles supplied to South Africa

You can lock all doors, including the liftgate, from outside the vehicle by turning the key in the driver's door lock. To unlock only the driver's door, insert the key into the lock, turn it, and release it. If you turn the key again within the next few seconds, all other doors will unlock.

For vehicles equipped with an anti-theft alarm system

When locking the doors with the key or remote transmitter, all turn signals and the turn signal indicators on the instrument panel flash three times to confirm that the locks are engaged and the anti-theft alarm system is armed (see also page 295).

The anti-theft alarm system is armed when all doors, including the liftgate, are locked using the driver's door lock button or the central locking master switch.
