PROCEDURE

1. Наверните две гайки на цапфу шарового шарнира наконечника рулевой тяги и измерьте

1. Thread two nuts onto the ball stud of the steering tie rod end and measure the torque required to rotate the ball stud.
Torque required to rotate the ball stud: 2–5 N•m
2. If the torque exceeds the specified value, replace the steering tie rod end.

If the torque is less than the specified value, the ball joint may be reused provided there is no significant play.
