Inspection and Adjustment of Brake Pedal Position
PROCEDURE

1. Turn the stop lamp switch until the required clearance between the switch and the brake pedal is obtained, then tighten the switch lock nut.
Clearance between brake pedal and stop lamp switch: 0.5–1.0 mm

2. With the engine off, depress the brake pedal several times to eliminate any play in the system. Depress the brake pedal by hand until resistance is felt, and measure the brake pedal free play.
Brake pedal free play: 3–8 mm

3. Start the engine, depress the brake pedal with a force of 50 kg, and measure the distance from the floor to the center of the brake pedal pad.
Minimum brake pedal height from floor: 70 mm
When the pedal is fully depressed without brake fluid: 50 mm
