PROCEDURE
1. Check the number of clicks when pulling the parking brake lever with a force of 196 N.

Lever travel: 6–7 clicks

2. If the number of clicks differs from the specification, adjust the cable length by turning the adjusting nut on the cable equalizer.
3. After adjustment, perform the following checks:
a. Turn the ignition on, raise the parking brake lever one click, and check that the parking brake warning lamp in the instrument cluster illuminates;
b. Check that the rear brakes hold the vehicle securely on an incline.
