Wheel replacement

If for any reason the wheel structure is replaced, make sure the new structures are equivalent to the original in diameter, rim, width and balance.

WARNING: A wheel of incorrect size can adversely affect wheel and bearing life, braking and stopping ability, handling, ground clearance, clearance between body and tyre, snow chain clearance, speedometer and odometer calibration, headlight aim and bumper height.

Wheel traction

Wheel traction may be reduced when driving with worn tyres, incorrectly inflated tyres or on slippery surfaces.

Tyres must be replaced when the tread wear indicators are visible. To reduce the possibility of loss of control, slow down in rain, snow or ice.

Tyre maintenance

In addition to correct inflation, correct wheel alignment helps reduce tyre wear. If a tyre is found to be unevenly worn, have the toe-in checked by your dealer.

When fitting new tyres, make sure they are balanced. This improves ride comfort and tyre life.

Also, if a tyre has been removed from the wheel, it must always be rebalanced.
