Tire Replacement
If the tyre wears evenly, the wear indicator appears as a uniform band across the tread.
This indicates that the tread depth is less than 1.6 mm. Replace the tyre when this occurs.
Do not wait until the band forms across the entire tread before replacing the tyre.
WARNING - Wheel replacement To reduce the risk of serious or fatal injury in a crash caused by tyre failure or loss of vehicle control: - Replace tyres that are worn, unevenly worn or damaged. Worn tyres can cause a loss of braking efficiency, steering control and traction. - Do not drive the vehicle with tyre pressure that is too high or too low. This can lead to uneven wear and tyre failure. - When replacing tyres, never use cross-ply (bias-ply) and radial tyres together. Replace all tyres, including the spare, if changing from radial to cross-ply. - Using wheels and tyres of sizes other than those recommended can cause abnormal handling characteristics and poor vehicle control, resulting in a possible serious accident. - Wheels that do not meet HYUNDAI specifications may not be suitable and may cause damage to the vehicle or abnormal handling and poor vehicle control. - The ABS works by comparing wheel speeds. Tyre size can affect wheel speed. When replacing tyres, use the original size on all 4 wheels. Using tyres of different sizes may cause irregular operation of the Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) and the Electronic Stability Control (ESC) (if equipped).Replacing the temporary spare tyre (if equipped)
The temporary spare tyre has a shorter tread life than a standard wheel.
Replace it when the tread wear indicator bars become visible. The replacement temporary spare must be the same size and design as the one supplied with the new vehicle and must be fitted to the same wheel position. The temporary spare is not designed to be fitted to a standard wheel position, and its structure is not suitable for fitting standard-size tyres.
