Checking Tire Pressure
Check the tires at least once a month.
Also check the spare tire pressure.
Checking procedure
Use a good-quality tire pressure gauge to measure tire pressure.
You cannot tell whether the tires are properly inflated just by looking at them.
Radial tires may look properly inflated even when they are underinflated.
Check tire pressure when the tires are cold. - "Cold" means the vehicle has been parked for at least three hours or driven no more than 1.6 km (1 mile).
Remove the valve cap from the valve stem. Press the gauge firmly onto the valve to measure the pressure.
If the cold tire pressure matches the value recommended on the tire and the tire and loading information label, no further adjustment is needed. If the pressure is low, add air until it reaches the recommended value.
If the tire is overinflated, release air by pressing the pin in the center of the valve. Check the pressure again with the gauge.
Reinstall the valve cap on the valve stem. The cap prevents air leakage by protecting the valve from dirt and moisture.
WARNING - Inspect the tyres frequently, checking the pressure and looking for damage and signs of wear. Always use a pressure gauge. - Over- or underinflated tyres wear unevenly, compromising handling and causing loss of vehicle control, as well as sudden tyre failures that can cause accidents with risk of injury or death. The recommended cold tyre pressure for the vehicle is given in this manual and on the label located on the centre pillar on the driver's side. - Worn tyres can cause accidents. Replace tyres that are worn, unevenly worn or damaged. - Check the spare tyre pressure. HYUNDAI recommends checking it every time you check the pressure of the other tyres.Test yourself
