Fuel Pressure Inspection
- Relieve the residual fuel pressure in the fuel line (refer to "Residual Fuel Pressure Release" in this group).
- Install the Special Service Tool (SST).
- Disconnect the fuel feed hose from the injection pipe.
- Install the special service tool for measuring fuel pressure between the fuel feed hose and the fuel feed pipe (refer to the illustration below).

- With the ignition switched ON, inspect for fuel leaks at the connections between the fuel feed hose, pipe and SST components.
- Measure the Fuel Pressure
- Start the engine and measure fuel pressure at idle.
Fuel pressure: 480–520 kPa (4.9–5.3 kgf/cm², 69.6–75.4 psi)

- Start the engine and measure fuel pressure at idle.
- Release the residual fuel pressure in the fuel line. (Refer to Fuel System - "Release Residual Fuel Pressure in Line")
- End of test
- Remove the Special Service Tool (SST) from the fuel feed tube.
- Connect the fuel feed hose and the injection pipe.
Release Fuel Line Residual Pressure
- Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect the battery negative (-) terminal cable.
- Remove the fuel pump fuse (A).

- Connect the battery negative (-) cable.
- Start the engine and let it idle, then turn the ignition off. Wait until the engine stops on its own.
- Disconnect the negative (-) battery cable, and then remove the fuel pump relay (A).
- Connect the battery negative (-) cable.
- Clear the Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) related to the fuel pump relay using GDS.
